55 Days at Peking is a historical fiction and action-packed drama that takes place in the year 1900 during the Boxer Rebellion in China. The story follows the events of the Boxer Rebellion, which was a violent uprising against foreign influence in China, particularly in the areas of trade and politics. The rebellion was led by the "Righteous Harmony Society," also known as the "Boxers," who were a group of Chinese peasants and soldiers who believed that they were invulnerable to foreign bullets and were able to fight off the invading forces with their bare hands.
